I can’t believe I have hit the half way point already! Holy cow where has the time gone?! It’s crazy how it really doesn’t take that long to create a baby! 40 weeks goes by pretty fast (let’s see if I’m saying that the last month ha!) Hubby and I went out of town again up to Mammoth for Bluesapalooza and we went thru Yosemite National Park to get there, You can see half dome off in the distance in my photo above!
How far along? 20 Weeks. July 29th, 2015
Total weight gain/loss: Since we have been out of town I haven’t weighed myself in a while but here I go off to the scale…. okay, so I weigh 132 lbs… not sure where I should be but Dr. says I’m good so….sounds good to me!
Maternity clothes? Yes, just 2 pairs of shorts, 1 t-shirt,1 long sleeve shirt and a pair of pants that will come in handy in the winter months!
Stretch marks? Yes, same stretch marks on my hips. I haven’t been using much creams, maybe 2-3 times a week.
Sleep: Again, each night is different. Some nights I wake up 6 times to go to the bathroom, sometimes only 3 times. Also its getting so uncomfortable sleeping on my sides all the time and not on my back or stomach…its also getting hard to just roll over I find myself waking up and scooting to roll myself over.
Best moment this week: On the 29th we had a Baby Dr. appointment where she went over our level 2 ultrasound and she said everything looked great and she is developing just as she should be! She also checked on her heart so we got to listen to her heart and we also heard her moving around in there. Every time we go in she’s moving around like crazy!
On the 30th- Aug 2nd we took a trip through Yosemite National Park and went to Mammoth for the 20th annual Bluesapalooza. It was my hubby’s 4th time going and mine and Azalea’s first time!
We went on a hike up to Mcleod Lake and holy altitude. It felt like I was breathing through a straw between the altitude and carrying a baby in my tummy. I had to take a few breaks but I made it! It was a little over a mile hike but the end result was SO worth it. When we got to the top I was totally in awe. I kept saying “WOW, it looks like a painting!” It was so breathtaking I absolutely loved it!
The dogs had a great time, Espy wasn’t shy one bit and went flying into the water after a stick!
I wish Rosko was more into photos, the second I break out my phone or camera he looks away…punk…but Miss Espy is a little ham when it comes to photos!
Bluesapalooza was a lot of fun. It’s a beer and blues festival they have every year up in Mammoth, CA and as I said before this was mine and Azalea’s first time but my hubby’s 4th time! It was actually a lot of fun, I don’t drink beer anyway so being pregnant didn’t affect me being there. There was great music, food and we got to hang out with family amongst the beautiful trees.
The first day we went was just music and food. Here Daddy and Grandma was giving Azalea some loving. Grandma felt her move for the first time, poor daddy has yet to feel her.
The sunset was beautiful…
We left early and ordered the Rousey fight… she kicked ass! 34 seconds and she knocked out her opponent, she is such beast! That’s what she gets for talking so much crap! Rousey is awesome!!!! I don’t even like watching fights but if my girl is fighting ill definitely watch! Undefeated!
Labor Signs: None, and I hope it stays that way for about 20 more weeks!
Symptoms: STILL nauseous, Im starting to think this nausea will stick with me for the rest of the pregnancy… my feet swell, my hands ache a lot and swell as well… I hear your first pregnancy is always the hardest… I now believe it.
Belly Button in or out? in.
Wedding rings on or off? Off… It’s been off for a long time now but luckily my ring my husband got me for Christmas last year fits perfectly.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I’d say happy!
Looking forward to: Hmm… I’m looking forward to our co-ed baby shower… it’s a little bit stressful planning it and doing it but it will all be worth it in the end. I can tell you what I’m NOT looking forward to…. at my next appointment in about 3 weeks I’ll be getting my TB test done and also setting my appointment for the dreaded glucose test. If you know me I HATE needles and shots and waiting for results…. I completely DREAD it but I’m just trying not to think about it along with the other painful stuff that will be happening in about 20 weeks haha. I know in the end it will all be worth it when we get to hold our baby in our arms. I most look forward to seeing AJ holding Azalea for the first time! I know it will be a moment I will never ever forget.
