As you all know, I looooove to bake. Since getting pregnant I have been feeling under the weather but today after my 2 hour baby nap I felt the urge to bake! Yay!
I broke out my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and added a few of my own personal twists and began to bake. For a little while I started to feel like my old self again!
Of course…. (not to toot my own horn) they turned out delicious! I stuffed my face (actually only ate 3) and now it’s back to relaxing….this first trimester exhaustion is no joke. I try to explain to my husband how tired I feel and the best way I can explain it is like this… you know when you stay up super (and I mean SUPER) late then have to wake up early the next day and you just feel like crap? Tired, can’t fully focus and can’t fight that urge to want to sleep? It’s kind of like that times 3 maybe 4! Some days I can fight it but most days I have to squeeze in a nap midday.
Some how this blog post went from homemade cookies to pregnancy exhaustion…but the real point of the post was to express how today I actually felt a little like my old self again, and it was awesome!
